After doubling down on the San Antonio Spurs to cover a double-digit spread and going three for three on our Wednesday parlay, we went one for three last night as the Seattle Kraken covered the spread and upset the best team in the hockey, the Boston Bruins.
Today, we turn our attention to the NFL Wild Card weekend for our daily parlay.
Buffalo Bills -13.5 over Miami Dolphins (-110)
Where do we start? Yes, 13.5 points is a lot to cover. However, the Miami Dolphins don’t have a shot of winning this game without Tua Tagovailoa, and Miami’s offense will struggle to score with Skylar Thompson at the helm.
Josh Allen and the Bills will win this game; it’s a matter of how many points they’ll win by. We think the Bills will cover the score and win by close to 20 points on Saturday.
Dallas Cowboys over Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-141)
The NFL requires a representative from the NFC South in the playoffs, and the Buccaneers are that team entering the playoffs with a losing record. Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback of all time, but this is not the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that won the Super Bowl a few short years ago.
Tampa Bay may have won a week one matchup 19-3; this time, the outcome will be different.
The Dallas Cowboys have won four of their last six games and six of the last eight. Tampa Bay only averages 18.4 points per game (25th overall), while the Cowboys’ defense was ranked fifth, holding teams to 20.1 points per game.
We’ll take the Cowboys to win straight-up on the moneyline.
Jacksonville Jaguars over Los Angeles Chargers (+115)
We’re going with the underdog and riding with the Jags from Duval County for our final leg. Jacksonville has an offense that can keep up with the Chargers, who will throw the ball a lot to try and take advantage of Jacksonville’s 28th-ranked passing defense.
We expect Jacksonville to use their better running game to control the clock and exploit the Chargers’ 28th-ranked rushing defense. We’re taking Jacksonville to pull off the upset as the home underdog in a close affair.
