CYB Best Bets for NFL Week 9
I told y’all we would bounce back last week. After going into a mini-slump, we were able to come back with a 5-3 week. As usual, the locks continued to crush and improved to 16-6-1. Let’s keep that streak going and send your bookie closer to bankruptcy.Â
New England Patriots -3.5 vs. Carolina Panthers
This line seems like Vegas is giving Carolina a little more respect than they deserve. Yes, they have the same record as New England, but they have not beat anyone of note. They’re biggest win came in week two against New Orleans but the Saints were missing multiple defensive coaches in that game due to COVID. Other than that, they have only beaten the Jets, Texans, and Falcons. New England has started to heat up, lately. They have won their last two games including an impressive win last week over the Chargers. Home dogs are usually tempting to back, but the Panthers do not play well in their own building. They are just 4-11-1 ATS in their last 16 home games. The Patriots, however, have yet to lose on the road this year, sporting a 3-0 record. Sam Darnold struggles against good defenses and New England’s defense has been able to limit two of the best QB’s in the league this year. Back the Pats to cover on the road.Â
Houston Texans +5.5 vs. Miami Dolphins
Hear me out, I’m backing the God-awful Texans here for two reasons. One, the Miami Dolphins shouldn’t be favored against air at this point. Two, it was just announced that Tyrod Taylor will be returning for Houston. Now Taylor is no world beater, but he is a solid QB. I think he might be around the same level as Tua right now. Neither of these teams are good at all so I won’t spend too much time dissecting this game. However, it is worth noting that the Dolphins have not won a game in Miami since December of last year. Houston is also 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings between these two teams. Both teams are looking to snap seven game losing streaks. I think Taylor will bring some life to his squad who is in desperate need of it. This game is going to suck so give me the Texas to cover the inflated number.Â
Arizona Cardinals -1 vs. San Francisco 49ers
The Arizona Cardinals will travel to Levi Stadium on Sunday looking to rebound from their first loss of the season. A loss that could have been avoided if AJ Green knew what play was called. Arizona has made themselves at home in San Fran lately. They have one five of their last six on the road against the Niners. Pretty much the only team who doesn’t feel at home in Levi stadium is the 49ers. They are only 1-6 ATS in their last seven home games. The Cardinals are also good at beating up on bad teams. They are 11-5 ATS in their last sixteen against a team with a losing record. Arizona will be pissed off after their first loss and San Francisco just doesn’t play well at home. Take the Cards to leave Santa Clara with a big division win.Â
The rest of the bunch:
Minnesota Vikings vs. Baltimore Ravens O50 New York Giants +3 vs. Las Vegas Raiders LA Chargers -2.5 vs. Philadelphia Eagles Tennessee Titans +7.5 vs. LA Rams Chicago Bears +6 vs. Pittsburgh SteelersÂ
We got back in the win column last week, and we’re looking to build off that momentum. We are halfway through another glorious NFL season. Don’t waste this Sunday by not gambling. Responsibly, of course.
