The Atlanta Falcons and Tennessee Titans will face off in Week 8 of the 2023 NFL season on Sunday, October 29, at 1:00 PM EST. Kick-off will be at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. In the end, both teams are coming off different results in Week 7. Overall, the Falcons are entering the game after a win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. On the other hand, the Tennessee Titans are coming off a bye week.

The Falcons Have a Surprising Season

The Falcons have had a surprising start to the season, with a record of 4-3. They are led by the rookie quarterback of the Atlanta Falcons, Desmond Ridder, who has been inconsistent but has shown flashes of potential. The Falcons also have a talented running game led by Cordarrelle Patterson and Tyler Allgeier.

All in all, Ridder has thrown for 1,245 yards, six touchdowns, and six interceptions in seven games. He has also rushed for 267 yards and two touchdowns. Meanwhile, Patterson has rushed for 381 yards and two touchdowns in seven games. Finally, Allgeier has rushed for 262 yards and one touchdown in four games.

The Falcons’ defense has been improved this season, but they are still one of the worst defenses in the NFL. They are ranked 27th in points allowed per game (26.3). However, they have forced 10 turnovers, which is tied for ninth in the NFL.

The Titans Have Rocky Start 

The Titans have had a disappointing start to the season, with a record of 2-4. They have been hampered by injuries, especially at the quarterback position. Ryan Tannehill has been sidelined with an ankle injury. Therefore, Malik Willis is now the starting quarterback.

At the end of the day, Willis is a rookie who has been inconsistent in his first few starts. He has thrown for 420 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions in three games. He has also rushed for 107 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, the Titans have a talented running game led by Derrick Henry. Henry has rushed for 487 yards and three touchdowns in six games. He is one of the most powerful running backs in the NFL. He is also capable of breaking off a big run at any time.

The Titans’ defense has been one of the best in the NFL this season. They are ranked second in points allowed per game (16.0). However, they have forced only seven turnovers, which is tied for 26th in the NFL.

Falcons Offense

 The Falcons offense needs to find a way to protect Desmond Ridder. The Falcons have been one of the most sacked teams in the NFL this season. They need to give Ridder time to throw in order to be successful.

Falcons Defense

The Falcons defense needs to pressure Malik Willis. Willis is a rookie who has been inconsistent in his first few starts. If the Falcons can pressure Willis, they can force him into mistakes.

Titans Offense

The Titan’s offense needs to establish the run game. The Titans have one of the best running backs in the NFL in Derrick Henry. If the Titans can run the ball effectively, it will open up the passing game for Malik Willis.

Titans Defense

The Titan’s defense needs to stop Cordarrelle Patterson and Tyler Allgeier. The Falcons have a talented running game, and the Titans need to find a way to stop it in order to win the game.

Falcons vs Titans Prediction

In conclusion, the Falcons are a slight favorite in this game. Yet, there is no denying that the Titans have a chance to win this. In the end, though, we are going to stick with the Falcons to win this game in week 8.
