Tennessee sports: Tannehill

  • The Titans extended their Cinderella playoff run and sent shockwaves around the NFL for a second straight week with a 28-12 win over the #1 seed Baltimore Ravens. Tennessee was led by Derrick Henry once again, who dominated the Ravens front to a tune of 195 rushing yards on 30 carries. The Titans will now travel to Kansas City to take on the high-octane offense of the Chiefs, who punched their ticket to the AFC Championship thanks to a 24-point comeback win against the Texans. The Titans open as 7.5-point dogs. So I guess you could say they have the Chiefs right where they want them?
  • The Grizzlies have caught fire, winning five in a row to move into a tie for the last playoff spot in the Western Conference at 18-22. Memphis has followed up their shocking 26-point road victory over the Clippers with wins against the Suns, T-Wolves, Spurs, and Warriors. The five-game stretch has been sparked by their strong bench play led by new addition DeAnthony Melton. The 21-year old has a plus-minus of 129 in 400 minutes since December 1.
  • The Predators continued their up-and-down year last week with wins against the Jets and Blackhawks and a loss to the Bruins. Nashville still has plenty of work to do to get into playoff position as we reach the halfway point of the season. The Predators had something fun to cheer for against the Blackhawks on Thursday. 37-year old goalie Pekka Rinne became the first NHL goalie to score a goal in the past six years.
