Tennessee Sports News and Notes
- The Grizzlies opened up the second half of the season last week with losses to the Kings and Lakers on the road. Things aren’t going to get any easier as the Grizzlies have the most difficult schedule in the NBA to close out the year. Memphis is still three games ahead of the Blazers for the 8th and last playoff spot in the Western Conference. Ja Morant and co. will look to get back to their first half form against a brutal slate this week that includes the Clippers and Rockets on the road and a home rematch against the Lakers.
- Following a 1-2 week, the Predators are sitting 2 points back of the Coyotes and Flames for the final wild card spot in the West. Nashville will have plenty of chances to make their move having played the least amount of games thus far compared to their playoff competition. New head coaching hire John Hynes hasn’t been shy about changing his lines based on who has the hot hand, and that fluidity will be put to the test during this final stretch.
